In 2017, Samsung will focus on further developing its portfolio of smart TVs that provide people with the simple and unified user experience they require for all their entertainment content – no matter when and where they want to enjoy it. For example, with a smart remote control, consumers can control most of the devices connected to the TV.

This year, the Smart Hub interface has also been extended to smartphones through the new and improved Smart View application, which now offers a comprehensive overview of all available content on its home page. Thus, the consumer can use their mobile phone to select and launch their favorite TV programs or video-on-demand (VOD) services on the TV through the Smart View mobile application. Consumers can also set up notifications on their mobile phone informace about popular content, such as broadcast times and program availability.

Samsung also introduced two new services for smart TVs: the Sports service, which displays a customizable overview of the customer's favorite sports clubs and their recent and upcoming competitions and matches, and the Music service, which, among other things, can recognize which songs are currently playing live on the TV programs.
