Defective batteries in S8 too?

Speculation has recently leaked that the same batteries as v Galaxy The Note 7 was supposed to be used in the expected S8. This mention partially echoes last year's speculations that it was not a direct case of faulty batteries, but a fault in the power connectors and the electronics that control the power supply.

Other mentions talked about faulty chipsets. Samsung has traditionally used Exynos processors and Qualcomm Snapdragon chips.
