The company sold over 90 million phones and 8 million tablets in the last quarter of last year, while the average price of the device was just around $180. The average profit from each device was $24. Year-to-date, despite the great difficulties, Samsung managed to improve as it took in 53,33 trillion won with an operating profit of around 9,22 trillion won.
It is clear that such numbers were also supported by other divisions of Samsung, which take care of the production of processors, memories and displays. However, the company will now look to increase its competitiveness, which will be helped by the new flagship Galaxy S8.
