It looks like the legendary Sony won't be the only company to unveil five new smartphones at this year's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The show of the latest technology starts already in February, and a new so-called "rumor" reveals another representative.

It seems that at this year's Mobile World Congress we will see another mobile manufacturer that will want to show off its new pieces to the world. This company is supposed to be TCL, which makes not only BlackBerry phones, but also Alcatel. And it is Alcatel that will present five new mobile phones at MWC 2017, one of which is to have a modular design.

Last year, Google tried a similar project, which showed the world its modular phone under the name Project Ara. However, the project was completely terminated. LG also tried a similar model with its flagship G5, but it also failed with customers. The only phones that somehow held their own were Lenovo's Moto Z.

Apparently, Alcatel will try to introduce such a phone, the development of which was inspired by both LG and Lenovo. If you want to replace the module, it will be necessary to remove the back cover from the phone and replace it with another one. But the great thing is that you won't have to remove the battery or restart the phone during this step.

The new phone itself should offer an octa-core processor from MediaTek, a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash. The price should be around 8 thousand crowns and the presentation will take place on February 26 at MWC 2017 in Barcelona.
