The South Korean manufacturer is experiencing a great period. Its highly successful and popular Gear S2 and Gear S3 smartwatches are now supporting one of the biggest car companies in the world. A few hours ago, the BMW Group published a completely new application compatible with wearable watches from Samsung.

BMW quietly and secretly developed a new application called BMW Connected some Friday. This is of course available in the application store designed specifically for the Gear S2 and S3 watches, that is Galaxy Apps. The "Appka" uses the so-called Open Mobility Cloud, thanks to which it is possible to connect the car with the watch

The app allows users to access several different types of information, including driving time, fuel level, last parked (place and time), current traffic conditions and much more. Owners of a compatible BMW car can also use their watch to unlock or lock the car. The app is even so smart that you can even turn on the ventilation system from anywhere in the world.

The application is optimized and compatible only with models from 2014 and later. However, if you own an older model such as 2013, you will only have limited features.
