This week, Instagram released a new beta version of its eponymous pro app Android, which hides one interesting novelty. Beta allows users to select several photos at once and upload them to their profile as an album that other users can browse. Instagram was characterized in particular by the fact that users always shared one interesting photo on it, which was supposed to attract something, but with the function of albums, the social network will change significantly and again get a little closer to Facebook.

We could already see viewing photos in the form of an album on Instagram. This is because the albums feature is available to advertisers, so we could come across a sponsored post, after which when we swiped from right to left, we could see more photos of the advertised product or whatever. The same function will now also be available to ordinary users.

Up to 10 photos or videos can be selected for the album, which can of course be combined. A different filter can be applied to each individual photo. The user can put pictures and videos together in the album exactly as he wants. Other users will see the post essentially as a single photo, but it will be an album that they can scroll through horizontally.

The albums feature isn't quite ready yet. When beta testers select photos, sort them and then publish them, they get an error message that the publication failed. Instagram hasn't yet said when the feature will be available to all users, but it's expected to happen soon, and it will be widely used by owners of devices with Androidem, so do users iOS.
