It has been more than two years since the model was first introduced Galaxy A5, and it looks like the South Korean manufacturer will continue to support the phone. It could be one of the few devices that came to the market with Androidem 4.4.4 KitKat and will receive not two, but three major operating system updates Android.

At least one carrier has confirmed that it is already testing the new update on Android 7.0 Nougat for original Samsung Galaxy A5, and expects testing to be completed by the end of this month. If all goes according to plan, Australian carrier Optus could start rolling out the update as early as February.

We believe that other carriers around the world are doing the same with the trial version of the update. So if you are the owner of the model Galaxy A5, you can expect a brand new update to the Android 7.0 Nougat. To be in the know, also check with your network operator and ask them when they plan to release the update. Operators are mostly accommodating in this regard.
