Samsung Galaxy The Note7 was destined to become the best mobile phone in the world, at least for a year. However, the excitement quickly faded when reports of explosions began to surface, eventually forcing Samsung to discontinue the phone for good and pull it off the market. In Europe, this presents an even bigger problem for Note fans, as they don't really have anything to upgrade to today. The last model on our market was Galaxy Note 4 from 2014, which is basically not even sold anymore and won't even get Nougat anymore.

The alternative could still be so-and-so Galaxy The Note 5, but it's only sold in Asia and America and doesn't normally play well with our networks. So it can be used, but it is not the real walnut. But what was he like? Galaxy Note7 from the point of view of an ordinary user who had the opportunity to get at least a little while? So I'll tell you.

Galaxy Note7

About a possible transition to Galaxy I started thinking about the Note 7 shortly after the phone was supposed to go on sale in Slovakia. Yes, it was actually already sold, but there were those problems with explosions, so everything with availability was a coincidence. However, I believed that Samsung would learn a lesson and that on the second try those phones would work and not explode again. I personally had the experience of the first revision of the mobile phone.

I was immediately impressed by the Note7 team, how well it holds up. Samsung was carried away by the rounded curves and pattern Galaxy The S7 edge actually brought a mobile phone that combines seriousness with an image. The feeling of seriousness came mainly from the shape, which still evoked the impression as if it was created for a manager who works 18 hours a day, 7 days a week. But then there were those rounded shapes, thanks to which the phone held perfectly in the hand, even though it had a 5,7″ display.

As such, the display was also curved and this has been a point of contention since the first leaks. Several fans said that on Galaxy Note's curved display is more of a waste than a useful addition. However, Samsung made a kind of compromise and the display was actually not as curved as on Galaxy S7 edge. It was about 2mm from each corner and it cannot be said that it would have a major impact on use. The Edge panel was available here and was able to save time here as well. However, I can't imagine that the light signaling of a call/SMS, as I have on my S7 edge, would make sense with such a bend. The display was simply not curved enough for that.

S Pen

Here, Samsung really won, although the credit in this case goes to the older Note 5. Here, Samsung has abandoned the stylus, which only acted as a stylus. He turned it into an almost real pen, which only lacks ink so that it can also be used to write on paper. The new S Pen uses a classic switch, after pressing which you can pull the pen out of the phone. The writing seemed quite good, but it was impossible to get rid of the feeling that I was writing on glass and not on classic paper. That's also why my writing was very ugly. Otherwise, I noticed that the pen can sense tilt and the resulting shape of the written (in my case, scribbled) text changes accordingly. It was definitely an interesting experience.

However, in many other things, the mobile phone was very close to mine Galaxy S7 edge. The environment, hardware and even the camera were the same, and the only experience factor was the S Pen and a more angular design that looked more elegant than image-like. Such happy news is that instead of microUSB Galaxy The Note7 offered USB-C, which made it easy to connect a cable, but I don't know if I'd ever use that connector because I charge my phone exclusively wirelessly. Unlike the competing iPhone 7, it also has a 3,5mm jack, so listening to music with headphones is not as much of a problem as with a competing phone.

Summary

However, he was on his own Galaxy Note7 is a very interesting piece, but unfortunately it paid for poorly designed batteries, which instead of serving, did damage. However, after my experience, I would not take it as an upgrade from the S7 edge, because the phone had too much in common with my S7 edge. However, the advantage was that the environment was exactly the same and there was no need to learn anything new, as with some older models.

However, I have to admit that the phone had something in it and for fans of the Note series it could be absolute perfection. Unfortunately, it ended up like the Titanic. He embodied perfection and yet he fell to rock bottom. This also shows that history repeats itself from time to time. Next time, I guess Samsung will learn a lesson.
