Samsung usually releases a plethora of accessories alongside its phones, especially when it comes to series Galaxy S and A. In their case, the company usually presents the packaging alongside the phones and in most cases starts selling the accessories on the same day. Quite an interesting addition straight from the first page is Samsung Clean Cover. It is practically the cheapest protective cover from Samsung, the price is somewhere around €20, and even though it emphasizes design, the protection of the mobile phone is priority number 1 for it.
When it comes to design, it's clear to see that the Clear Cover is an image piece. Its back is transparent, so the color of the phone is still relevant. However, the cover enriches the design a bit with arranged dots and additional lettering Designed by Samsung on the bottom. It was such a surprise for me that the transparent part is still protected from scratches by a film on the outside. This was quite a surprise for me, because I only found out after a few weeks of use, and I still have this film stuck on it.
But don't count on any foil on the side. In short, the side-like metal frame is too shaped to provide any additional protection. The frame was designed to allow immediate access to various elements, so unlike all those Spigens or Bugatti, it does not protect the buttons, ports on the bottom and not even the memory tray. However, it protects the most critical places - the corners. On them, the cover is not only thicker, but even extends about 1 mm above the display, so it can protect the mobile even from the front in case of falls. Of course, if it falls on a flat surface.
Pri Galaxy However, be prepared for a real problem with the S7 edge - you can't combine this cover with a protective glass either. Even after a year, manufacturers couldn't adapt to the phone's curves and couldn't come up with glass that wouldn't come off after putting on the case. Kudos to the exceptions if there are any.
But from a practical point of view, I can say that this cover has already saved my phone. To thank I thanked him a few times now in the winter, when there were requests outside. It happened to me that I fell and the phone slipped out of my hand or even flew out of my pocket. Thank God nothing happened to the phone and even now it looks like new. The same cannot be said about the packaging, upon closer inspection it is a bit worn. But that's exactly its purpose. It's always better to destroy a thing for €20 than a thing 40 times more expensive.
