During the past year, Samsung released several proprietary applications for Android. For example Gear Manager, Wi-Fi Transfer, Samsung Music, Samsung Voice Recorder, S Note or Samsung Email. Now, another application has joined them in the new year, namely Samsung Calculator, which you can find in Google Play from today.
The main reason Samsung puts its apps on Google Play is to make them easy to update without having to release a whole new firmware for specific phones. Users simply download the update through the store, as they are used to for example with Facebook, WhatsApp and of course all others from third parties.
The new Samsung Calculator app is currently only available for devices that have it installed Android 7.0 Nougat or later. So others are unfortunately out of luck. If still a new version Androidu don't have and you can update, then be sure to download it and let us know in the comments if you had any problems during the update (or even after it) or if it was a smooth update in your case.
