It has probably happened to each of us. You get a new phone, fire it up, do a few basic settings, sign in to your Google account, and install a few apps. Everything just works great and with your new "sweetheart" you feel like you're in a fairy tale. However, as time goes by and you actively use your phone, you install more and more apps on it, until you reach a state where the system is no longer Android not nearly as fluid as it once was.

Moreover, you will get to such a similar state gradually. You often don't even notice that your phone is slowing down. Until suddenly you run out of patience and tell yourself that something is probably wrong. This is the perfect time to give your system a good clean.

Find out which apps are slowing down your phone

One of the best and at the same time easiest ways is to perform a so-called factory reset of the phone. Yes, I know, you didn't really want to read this. Because you will lose all your data, you will be forced to set everything up again and install the applications you use. A much better procedure is to manually uninstall unused applications, especially those that run in the background of the system - but how to find out which ones they are?

In the operating system Android you can find the item in the system settings Application (it is located in the section Equipment – but it depends on what phone and OS version you have Android – but you can find it on every phone and system version). Click on this item in the menu, which will take you to the list of installed applications, where you can swipe to the sides to switch between the lists Downloaded, On the SD cardRunning a All. Again, it is possible that the naming will be different on your phone depending on the version of the operating system.

Now you are interested in the running applications on the list Running. These are the applications that are currently running and using the resources of the operating system. Go through them all carefully and think about each one. Do you know what this app or game is? Do you use it? When was the last time you ran it? If you don't remember, it's very likely that you don't use the app and I recommend uninstalling it immediately.
