In the 80s, the South Korean company focused not only on electronic appliances, but also on sports. For example, in 20, it decided to start its first ever baseball team under the name Samsung Lions. The sports club was founded in the city of Daegu, which is located in the southeastern part of Korea. This team is still active in the Korean League, i.e. the KBO League. The club's stadium was then named Daegu Samsung Lions Park. In its entire history, the baseball team managed to win eight titles, namely in 1982, 1985, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2011, 2012 and 2013. For such a relatively short 2014-year history, this is not a bad result, on the contrary. This is one of the best teams in the KBO League.
