According to a recent very important USPTO trademark application filed by South Korea's Samsung, the company is indeed planning to deploy a so-called "infinity display." However, we wrote about this back in February, but only now is this informace "officially" confirmed.
New flagship model, i.e. classic Galaxy S8 and above Galaxy S8+, will have an infinity display. It will not only be curved on both sides, but also almost without frames. In the application, Samsung does not specify which device will have this trademark. However, it is more than likely that it will be a new flagship Galaxy S8.
The South Korean company is still trying to hold on informace about the new phone in secret, which is quite understandable. Samsung only wrote this on the trademark – only "mobile devices" will primarily have an infinite display. In addition to the gorgeous display panel, the new phones will also feature the Bixby voice assistant, which according to leaked reports will have its own physical button on the right side of the device.
