The South Korean giant showed off the new generation of Gear 360 spherical camera (2017) at a press conference in London and New York today. It boasts support for 4K resolution and 360-degree recording. As you can see for yourself in the gallery below, the shift in design compared to last year's model is really noticeable.

On the front, there is a set of 8,4MP Bright Lens image sensors with an aperture of f/2.2, while the sensors themselves are covered by a fisheye lens. This small camera is kept alive by a 1mAh battery, but the manufacturer does not mention the durability.

Samsung went ahead of social networks and with the new camera you can edit, view or share your content. You can also choose from several shooting modes, photo effects or filters, various video editing tools and the like. You can also convert recorded 360-degree videos to standard formats. Last but not least, the camera also supports live video transmission, for example via Facebook, YouTube or the Samsung VR platform.

Compatibility of the new Gear 360 camera is guaranteed on new models Galaxy S8 to Galaxy S8+ and older phones Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7edge, Galaxy Notes 5, Galaxy S6 edge+, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6edge, Galaxy A7 (2017) a Galaxy A5 (2017). However, Apple users do not have to regret it, the camera will also be able to be used with iPhonem 7, 7 Plus, 6s, 6s Plus and iPhonem SE. It goes without saying that desktop systems are supported Windows to macOS.

And what about the price? The recommended final price for consumers was set at adequate CZK 6 (including VAT).
