If you look at the specs of last year's model Galaxy S7 and new flagships Galaxy S8 you will find that the cameras are very similar. Inside both devices is a 12MP camera with an aperture of f/1.7, optical image stabilization (OIS) and Dual Pixel focusing. So why the camera Galaxy The S8 is so much better than the u Galaxy S7? Behind everything is a special coprocessor that only takes care of photos.

Simply put, this special processor processes a series of consecutive images, which it then combines into a single photo. Thanks to this shooting procedure, Samsung achieved a significant reduction in noise, and the photos are also much sharper than with normal photography, when only one image is recorded.

However, we must add that Samsung is not the first company to use a similar procedure. The very first such phone was Google's Pixel & Pixel XL phones. On the other hand, Galaxy The S8 has already mentioned technologies such as Dual Pixel and optical image stabilization, which phones from Google do not have. The results could therefore be a little better than in the case of the already very excellent Pixel photomobiles.

Other differences should be noticeable in the speed of saving photos. Since the resulting image is composed of several photos, the phone needs some time to assemble. When taking pictures with Pixel phones, the photos are first saved to the internal storage, where they are then folded into one, so the user cannot view the photo immediately after taking it and has to wait a few seconds. Samsung could once again have the upper hand in this case, thanks to the fast 9nm Exynos 10 series processor and improved UFS 2.1 internal storage.

The theory sounds good, for real camera tests and their comparison with last year's model Galaxy We will have to wait a little longer for S7 (edge) and Pixels from Google.
