As has been the custom for Samsung in recent years, it always presents exactly two of its flagship models. While last year the models differed not only in size but also in design, display and some functions, this time the difference is significantly smaller and for the first time Samsung has "tuned both versions of the phone to the same frequency." Even so, the differences between Galaxy S8 to Galaxy S8+ and we will specify all of them in today's article, although there are not many of them.

1) Dimensions and weight

The main and at first glance visible difference is the size of the two phones. Smaller Galaxy The S8 boasts dimensions 148.9 x 68.1 x 8.0 mm and bigger Galaxy S8+ then 159.5 x 73.4 x 8.1 mm. Depending on the size, the weight also varies, of course, exactly by approx 18 grams, which is an almost negligible difference. Galaxy The S8 weighs 155 grams a Galaxy S8+ then 173 grams.

2) Display size

One of the two main and decisive differences is the display size. Although the display of the smaller model can already boast a relatively respectable diagonal 5,8 inches, Samsung decided to offer an even larger model (targeted primarily at customers in Asian countries) with a diagonal display 6,2 inches.

3) Fineness of the display

Although both models have exactly the same resolution (2960 × 1440 pixels), the fineness of the display, namely the number of pixels per inch, differs due to the different diagonal. Small wins here Galaxy S8 because the delicacy of its panel makes 570 ppi, while the value of the larger Galaxy S8+ is lower 529 ppi. The rule here is that the higher the number of pixels per inch, the finer the display and, as a result, the higher the quality. But in fact, with the naked eye, the difference between the fineness of the display Galaxy S8 to Galaxy You don't know the S8+.

4) Battery

The second, main and decisive difference is the battery, namely its capacity. Due to the larger chassis Galaxy The S8+ also managed to fit a larger capacity battery into the body 3500 mAh. In contrast, smaller Galaxy The S8 boasts "only" 3000mAh batteries. However, even if there are differences in actual endurance, they are not revolutionary in any way, because the larger display of the "es-eight plus" naturally also consumes more.
