World-renowned service network iFixit is known in our region rather than for service because it is devoted to the disassembly of almost all important technological innovations. Of course, even a new phone from Samsung could not escape iFixit Galaxy S8. What seems to be of interest to everyone is the battery, which caused considerable problems and financial losses for Samsung last year. It is all the more interesting that in Galaxy The S8 has practically the same battery as the Note 7, that is, at least in terms of voltage, capacity and construction. For example Galaxy The S8+ has a 3500mAh – 13,48Wh battery, which is also in the Note 7.

Samsung clearly says that it is 7% convinced that the problem last year was not in the battery, but in how it was manufactured. The company puts confidence in its battery, and the only thing that needed to change was the quality of production. Even the position of the battery, the frame that surrounds it and its connection is very, very similar to how it was in the Note XNUMX. Samsung is even so confident that last year's problem will not be repeated that the battery physically sticks to the very construction of the phone, which makes it very difficult to remove and replace in the event that a problem does arise.

However, iFixit was of course most interested in how the S8 is doing with repairability, and here the phone did not hold up too well, scoring only 4/10. The service center sees the problem as the use of glue, the curved and difficult-to-repair display and the design, which is made up of glass on both sides. On the other hand, it should be noted that Samsung does not resolve the vast majority of justified complaints by repairing, but by replacing the phone piece by piece.
