Those who pre-ordered Samsung's latest flagships shortly after pre-sales began can already get it in some locations today. In the Samsung store in Prague at Anděl, several dozen people bought it immediately after opening.
"The interest is huge, but we couldn't send an SMS to all pre-orderers saying that customers can come pick up the phone today. There is a limited number of phones," the salesman from the Prague store told us.
According to our information, people who pre-ordered the phone in other Prague brick-and-mortar stores of the manufacturer also received a similar message. Our reader Jirka Ž. he wrote to us yesterday that he pre-ordered the new model on the very first day, but still Samsung told him the following:
Hello,
I'm very sorry, but unfortunately we can't cover your Samsung pre-order right now Galaxy S8 / S8+.
The first deliveries of these models were significantly limited and therefore unfortunately did not reach all customers, which I am very sorry for.
We expect the next delivery in the next fortnight - immediately after that we will ship your pre-order.
In case of any changes, I will inform you immediately.Thank you for your understanding and sorry for the complications.
Jirka will probably receive his phone even later than if he had pre-ordered it in another store. Official sales in the Czech Republic will start on April 28. However, it is possible that Samsung will first try to satisfy all those who pre-ordered the phone before releasing its flagship phone.
