The first foreign reviews of the most recently released Samsung mobiles have just been published Galaxy S8 to Galaxy S8+, in all of them perhaps the authors praised the fantastic Infinity display, but on the other hand, they generally agreed that the fingerprint reader, on the other hand, did not succeed at all this year. After thirty hours of use, we can also put our experience to good use. What are they like?
Critics agree that the reader is senselessly placed at the top right next to the camera, so it is difficult to reach with the fingers, that it has the wrong shape and the molding around it is such that it does not help to direct the finger to the reader. Many also complain that the reader responds slowly and only after the umpteenth attempt.
From my own experience, I have to state that this is more or less true. I don't agree with the little things. For me personally, the print helps, and I also don't reach for the camera lens as often as we can now very regularly read in articles about "es-eights." Also, I don't find the fingerprint recognition any more inaccurate than it was with the previous model.
However, it is actually worse with the availability of the reader. We own a larger one in the editorial office Galaxy Unlocking the phone using the fingerprint scanner on the S8+ is like a small acrobatic exercise. I found that, paradoxically, when paying, it works best for me when I hold the phone with my left hand and, if necessary, verify the fingerprint with my right index finger, which I point from top to bottom, i.e. in reverse. Strangely, it works great, even though we registered the fingerprint like this by default and not this way.
It's a pain in the neck, so I firmly believe that Samsung will learn a lesson and already in the fall u Galaxy Note will introduce a happier solution (at least a reader twice as wide, roughly square in size) and next year, if possible, finally a reader integrated into the front of the display.

But just to avoid criticism: unlike various reviewers, we didn't have too many problems with the phone not immediately recognizing the fingerprint, and in addition, I got used to unlocking the phone when the phone was turned off (or when the Always On Display function was activated) by simply placing my finger on the reader. It's lightning fast.
