As we already informed you, on Wednesday, April 20, the first customers began to receive new Samsung phones from pre-orders Galaxy S8 to Galaxy S8+. Thanks to this, we are already starting to have a more accurate idea of how it is with the functions of the new flagship model.

Recently, a rumor spread on the Czech Internet that Samsung canceled for the first time this year Galaxy S7 implemented a feature thanks to which you can turn on mobile hotspot not only on mobile data, but also from Wi-Fi. This is useful, for example, for hotel access to wireless networks abroad, which can only be accessed via an assigned name and password, and therefore it is not possible to have multiple devices connected to the network at the same time.

An unnamed Czech website informed the reader that this function may no longer be available this year. Would the hotel lobby work?

Fortunately, this is not the case. As we found out after unpacking the phone, the system natively warns when trying to turn on the hotspot that the connected Wi-Fi network will be turned off (therefore mobile data would be drawn), but it is enough to hold the hotspot button, enable Wi-Fi Sharing, and the good old function is back. And that's good news!
