This year's Samsung premium phones, Galaxy S8 to Galaxy S8+, are already available to Czech customers, at least to some of those who pre-ordered them in time. So what are the first impressions of use?
We have a larger model in the editorial office Galaxy S8+ and we instantly fell in love with it. The infinity display is really highly addictive. When browsing the web, it can fit significantly more lines of text. When watching videos (for example, on YouTube or in the Google Play Movies application), we appreciate the ability to stretch the image to the full width of the display without distorting it. It didn't seem to us that we lost a significant part of the image, and it didn't happen that we only saw the chin of the actor.
We have already mentioned the feelings of the much-criticized reader in one of the previous articles, it can be a strong minus for many customers.
The iris reader seems a bit impractical for now. Before the user gets to it and before he recognizes the iris and unlocks the phone, it takes too long for our taste, roughly two to three times the time it takes for a fingerprint reader.
The phone is fast, has slightly more powerful hardware, a higher capacity of internal storage space (64 GB compared to last year's 32 GB), Bluetooth five and similar little things. For example, the camera was already excellent last year, but this year the front one has improved slightly, the rear one with the same parameters is again helped by the software for better results.
This is also why we don't think that every user of the 7 should necessarily upgrade. The generational difference is rather smaller and the owner is satisfied Galaxy The S7, which in our opinion was an absolute masterpiece in the mobile world, would be a waste of money in our opinion.
Therefore, if you are not a fanatical supporter of the brand, or if your year-old phone has not just broken, you will not find many reasons to change. Even if the "ace eight" is worth it just for the experience of that display.
