Samsung, or Samsung Display, is the largest manufacturer of OLED panels in the world. The company covers over 95% of all world production and is still looking for new ways to increase its scope. While competing panel manufacturers are focusing on the production of sixth-generation OLED panels, Samsung is looking for production capacity and adjusting lines for the production of the next generation of displays.

With new ones informaceI came across The Investor server, to which an analyst confirmed that Samsung is currently interested in the production of seventh-generation panels. The production of new displays should start in the second quarter of next year, and we can expect, for example, flexible displays with 4K resolution (with 800 points per inch). With this step, Samsung will want to confirm its leading position in this segment.

“Small competitors will reach the volume of production capacities of sixth generation OLED displays in the coming years. However, Samsung will try to increase productivity by producing seventh-generation panels”, CEO of UBI Research said in a recent report, Yi Choong-hoon.
