It is not uncommon for a newly launched smartphone to face some issues. In the course of product testing, not all flies are always found, and errors, small and large, appear only when the customers themselves find them. Galaxy The S8 is no exception. Not long ago we informed you about the reddish displays, now it seems that the new flagship model from Samsung has another problem, but this time with fast wireless charging.

Users Galaxy The S8 and S8+ confirm that it is not possible to charge the phones with original wireless chargers. According to the first indications, it looks like incompatibility with the Qi standard, which meets older charging pads from Samsung. The temporary solution is said to be to use "foreign" wireless chargers from another manufacturer, but they are significantly slower due to the absence of fast charging support.

However, not all charging pads work, some will get a notification from the phone that wireless charging is suspended due to incompatibility. But the question remains why original chargers manufactured by Samsung itself do not work with its own product. The South Korean company should set everything straight, but we have yet to receive an official statement.

Discussion forums also say that Samsung just made a bug in the phone's firmware, which it might fix with an upcoming update. You can see the charging problems for yourself in the video below. Are you also facing this problem? Let us know in the comments below the article.

Update 28.

Statement on the problem from the Czech representative office of Samsung:

“Based on our initial investigation, this was an individual case where a non-genuine wireless charger was used. Galaxy The S8 and S8+ are compatible with all wireless chargers released since 2015 and manufactured or approved by Samsung. To ensure that the wireless charger will work properly, we strongly recommend that consumers use only Samsung-approved chargers with our products.”
