You can lose the content on your device at any time, so it's good to keep your data somewhere. It is also necessary to think about this before making a warranty claim, as the service center is not responsible for data loss.

Did you know that in addition to contacts, photos and music, you can also back up SMS messages, call logs, phone settings, applications and much more? There are many ways to do it. In this article, we will show the most famous ones.

Kies/ Smart Switch/ Smart Switch Mobile

For several years, Samsung has provided the option to backup via its own software. This is a computer program that can be downloaded directly from the Samsung website. You can choose either Kies or Smart Switch in Kies versions, which is intended mainly for older devices from Androidat 2.1 po Android 4.2. Or Choose 3 od Androidin 4.3 above. Well, in this case, I recommend switching to Smart Switch, which offers more backup items and file transfer even from iPhones or Blackberries.

Smart Switch Mobile is a mobile alternative in which data backup is not performed directly, but files are transferred from one device (Samsung, iPhone, Blackberry) on the other. The transfer can be wireless via a mobile access point or via OTG.

The programs are completely easy to use and back up even what you might not need. All of them will perform a complete backup of your data such as contacts, SMS, call log, settings, photos, music, videos, applications, alarm clock and much more.

Google account

The easiest backup on a daily basis is through a Google account. The data is synchronized with each change and the user can access it either via mobile phone or computer. Setup is simple. Just add your account and set everything you need to sync.

The backup of contacts and calendar is used the most. To back up photos, you need to have the Photos app from the Google Play Store installed and updated. You enable synchronization in the settings and you don't have to worry about anything anymore. Google offers unlimited high-quality storage for your photos. Only 15 GB of free space is available for backing up photos in their original resolution.

Samsung Cloud

Samsung last year with the introduction of its flagship model Galaxy Note 7 also introduced its own cloud. All users of this model had 15 GB of storage available for free. After the inconvenience and after the end of its sale, Samsung offered the cloud for older models as well Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge.

Currently, only the S8, S8+, S7 and S7 Edge support this storage, but expansion for other devices is not ruled out. Let's take a closer look at what advantages this service offers us.

As mentioned above, the user has 15 GB of space available for free. If that is not enough, it is possible to expand the storage to 50 or 200 GB, but for monthly fees. As for content, it is possible to back up contacts, calendar, notes, internet, gallery, music, messages, data from the keyboard and complete phone settings within wallpaper and ringtone.

The cloud is tied to a Samsung account, and if you log in on another device, your data will be synchronized. 15 GB can be quite a limiting number these days, so I would leave the gallery backup to Google or a manual backup to the computer.

Don't underestimate giving a deposit. Many of us have our old photos stored in our mobile phones, and suddenly when the mobile phone breaks down, all we have left are eyes for crying. Data backup may be charged at authorized service centers.
