It wasn't that long ago that we they wrote about the fact that it also arrived on Samsung Galaxy S8 from the open market firmware update that is very controversial. She changed the color palette for the navigation panel, you can no longer set it to completely black. But it also brought a function, because of which you don't have to worry about the colors of the panel, and which finally makes sense of the Infinity display.

The infinity display was certainly liked by more than one owner Galaxy S8 to Galaxy S8+. Especially when playing videos or playing some games, unless the full screen mode has covered part of the interface. The full-screen mode has been forced into a number of other applications since the release of the phones, but let's face it - I haven't noticed a single application other than games where it would work.

But the function of hiding the navigation panel has now been added to the firmware. It can be activated in Settings -> Display -> Navigation panel by turning on the switch Show and hide button and works in such a way that in addition to virtual buttons Switching applications, Home a Back a dot has been added to the far left, which you can either anchor the panel or allow it to hide.

I immediately turned on stealth mode and really liked it. The navigation panel then slides out from the bottom of the screen when needed and is usually semi-transparent.

In conjunction with the Samsung Internet web browser (classic version and beta), it is a ready-made killer of Google Chrome. You can also choose to hide the status bar (it's the top one, it shows the notification, connection, network status and battery icons), so from now on you have the entire Infinity display at your disposal just for browsing the web.

The function is activated as soon as you drag the page down a little. At that moment, the application panel with buttons will also disappear Back, Forward, Home, Bookmarks a Cards, which is activated again when you return to the top of the page.

To some, this may sound like banality, after all, the status panel takes up only four millimeters of surface area, and the navigation panel takes up eight. But try and see. Not only does it look beautiful, it also gets significantly more text on the screen. Especially if you can see well and don't have enlarged font.

Of course, hiding the navigation bar will help when reading websites in Google Chrome, but you won't be able to hide the status bar there and it spoils the "artistic impression" a bit.

On the home screen, of course, the navigation bar remains always on. And if, like me, you're using a dark theme, luckily it won't show up in the distracting white. And that's not even in Settings, Contacts and the like with my black background theme, while, for example, with dark Netflix, it already forces itself in white, unfortunately.

In the photo gallery, you can see different examples of S8+ phone screens with the navigation bar on and off. Of course, turning it off also helps in other applications, for example in the Google Play store you can see another series of apps offered.

For me personally, praise goes towards Samsung. You can write to us in the comments if you share my enthusiasm and use the function.
