Facebook today he boasted with news that will certainly not please Messenger users. After testing in Australia and Thailand, it's rolling out Messenger ads worldwide. In this way, up to 1,2 billion users, which are boasted by Mark Zuckerberg's popular chat application, will be affected. And it is very likely that soon the ads will start showing to Czech and Slovak users as well.

Advertisers can now, when creating ads on Facebook, choose the option that their ad will also be shown in Messenger. However, ads will not be displayed in the conversations themselves, but on the main page between contacts, where Stories, suggested users, etc. are already shown.

The only good news is that Facebook is slowly starting to roll out ads to all users. At first, it says, it will only show them to a small percentage of users in the United States in the coming weeks. Over time, however, he will spread them to everyone, after all, as he does with all his news.

Initially, Facebook tried to monetize Messenger by offering businesses to create chat bots. Some Czech companies, especially insurance companies, seized this opportunity. But bots are not enough for Facebook, so it comes with traditional advertising banners. After all, it's about time, because Facebook's CFO himself recently admitted that the advertising spaces on their social network are already exhausted.
