Have you also been suffering from the fact that the HBO GO Czech application crashes every now and then for years? Perhaps everyone who has ordered this service from their TV service provider knows that there are huge problems with it. Especially if you want to stream from it to the TV via Chromecast. Many owners Galaxy S8 and S8+, for example, report that the app doesn't work at all, it just restarts. However, we found out how to get out of it.

It's like fighting windmills. For example, the application runs for half a year, only to not work for the next six months. The Chromcast icon at the top right sometimes appears, sometimes disappears, and even when it is visible, the attempt to connect to the TV often ends with the application crashing. Unfortunately, this has been (not) working for many people for years.

We found that the app for paid movie and series content also angers a number of owners Galaxy S8 and S8+. “Mostly it restarts right after power on. Sometimes it starts up, but when you try to cast, it still crashes. Even updates didn't help,” we heard from several readers, happy owners of South Korean flagships.

But they are not alone. The application is as old as Methuselah and, unlike Netflix, Videostream or Google Play Movies, it does not use a function from the Google Home application (Formerly Google Cast) for streaming, but its own solution, which has more problems than benefits. Even the various tips in the help about reinstalling the app or deleting data do not help.

Fortunately, the subscribers' woes will probably end soon, at least that's what HBO support promised our reader.

"Currently, we have a completely new application already undergoing internal testing, and it should be out by the premiere of the new season of the series Game of Thrones (it starts on July 17 - editor's note). It will solve a number of problems, including Chromecast. The truth is that the current application was created almost seven years ago, when it was impossible to predict that we would integrate Chromecast into applications. This also applies to other functions," said an HBO employee.

The new application will also please owners of Xbox One, Playstation 3 and 4 consoles or Apple TV. We don't know if this means that separate apps will be created for these platforms, but they are not the focus of our site either, so we're just mentioning it as a point of interest.
We strongly believe that the developers from Hungary will manage to debug the application and it will not be "broken" as often as before. It would relieve a lot of angry subscribers to an otherwise fantastic service.
