Do you still remember the explosives case? Galaxy Note 7 last year? Sure, who wouldn't. Defective batteries in phones caused a worldwide uproar at the time, and Samsung received a wave of criticism and ridicule for them. He was eventually forced to withdraw his pocket bombs from sale. It might seem like it ends with this step. But the opposite is true. What to do with millions of defective phones? Samsung decided to use them in its own way.

They will recycle precious metals

According to news reported by CTK on Tuesday, the Koreans will try to disassemble and recycle all the phones. Components that can be used in some way to repair other models are sorted and sent to repair shops. The precious metals that were also part of the phone's construction (gold, silver, copper and cobalt) are then recycled by the company. And that there are not a few of them. The first estimates even talk about 152 tons of metal to be processed.

Samsung is going to build a new phone from some of the salvaged parts. It will be appropriately called the Samsung Note Fan Edition, and with a bit of exaggeration it can be said that it will be intended mainly for those who did not resent the company after the explosions.

The non-explosive Fan Edition should be very similar to its dangerous little brother. However, there will be a significantly smaller battery in its body, which should prevent all problems. The new piece could appear in stores very soon. Unfortunately, we cannot count on him in our region. The company let it be known that it will be sold exclusively in South Korea for 700 won (roughly 000 thousand crowns). A lower price could provide Samsung with great sales and at least partially return the lost profit for last year's Note 14. And who knows, perhaps the great interest of Koreans will convince the company to export abroad. Such a price would be really outrageous even for the rest of the market.
