You've probably already heard that the engineers at Samsung decided some time ago to scrap the idea of the legendary clamshell phones that were very popular about twelve years ago. However, something will be different. In terms of hardware, the new "clamshell" should be comparable to really good high-end phones. Now on Internet have discovered renders that clearly indicate that we will not have to be ashamed of its design either. You can find them at the end of this article.

The design of the phone probably won't surprise you at first glance. However, if you look at it more closely, you will notice two displays. These should measure 4,2" and have a resolution of 1080p. The display on the "back" should provide the user with practically everything that is needed without the need for physical buttons. In addition, the phone looks really nice when closed, and you probably wouldn't even notice that it's a clamshell model at all. When all this is added to the main 12 Mpx camera, which Samsung generally does very well, and the front camera with a resolution of 5 Mpx, we get a really interesting piece that will certainly not offend lovers of older phone designs.

There's really no need to be ashamed of the hardware

However, for the sake of completeness, we should recall some other details that describe the already mentioned hardware equipment. To prove that the SM-W2018 model will not be a player in numbers, three basic data will suffice. First, its heart will be the great Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, which we know from, for example, Galaxy S8 (but depends on the country of sale). Second, at least 6 GB of RAM memory, which is a typical item for high-end phones. Third, 64 GB of internal memory with the probable possibility of expansion. However, even the basic internal memory is quite decent and is more than enough to satisfy the average user.

The only minus, which could easily bring the South Korean novelty to its knees, is the absence of sensors for Touch ID and probably Face ID. However, if Samsung managed to implement this technology in the display, users could expect it here as well. However, I personally think that the introduction of an implemented fingerprint reader in the display of this particular phone is more like science fiction. However, let us be surprised by what the new Samsung will bring us in the end. However, it is hard to say when that will be. As one of the options, for example, August 23, when the one to be seen will see the light of day, can appear Galaxy Footnote 8.
