Samsung has announced the launch of the Samsung T5 Portable Solid State Drive - the latest portable solid state drive (PSSD) that boosts the performance of external storage devices. Built on Samsung's V-NAND (Vertical-NAND) technology, the T5 delivers top transfer speeds with encrypted data security in a compact and durable design, making it easy for consumers to access their most valuable data anywhere, anytime.

Securing a staggering speed of up to 540 MB/s – up to 4,9 times faster than external HDD products – the new T5 SSD is aimed primarily at business professionals, photographers, video makers, creative professionals and users of voluminous content when they need to provide instant and easy access to data. With dimensions of 74 x 57,3 x 10,5 millimeters and incredibly light weight, the T5 is also smaller than the average business card and fits comfortably in the palm of your hand. The aluminum case comes in two different surface finishes – Deep Black (1TB and 2TB models) and Alluring Blue (250GB and 500GB models).

With no moving parts and a shock-resistant inner frame, the T5 gives users a sense of security as it can withstand accidental water splashes and even drops from a height of two meters. Based on AES 256-bit hardware data encryption, Samsung Portable SSD software for PC and Mac allows you to easily configure security settings and get the latest firmware and software updates. The mobile application is also available for smartphones and tablets with the system Android for even more comfort. In addition, the T5 includes two connection cables – USB-C to C and USB-C to A – for enhanced compatibility with many different devices.
