Samsung had to deal with a very expensive recall last year when it was found that the battery in the phone Galaxy Note 7 is not safe. In the end, Samsung had to withdraw its flagship from sale, losing billions of dollars. Now, unfortunately, another similar announcement has appeared, which in turn concerns phones from the series Galaxy Note, it's not such a disaster.

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission has recalled more than 10 units Galaxy Note 4s that were refurbished by US carrier AT&T and distributed to customers via the FedEx supply chain.

Some of the batteries in these units have been found to be counterfeit and exhibit anomalies that could cause them to overheat. The batteries are not OEM marked, which means they were not supplied by Samsung.

Fortunately, the batteries did not cause any problems for users. So far, there has only been one recorded report where an overheated battery did not harm the owner or damage their property. Fake batteries were not placed in all recalled units, but a general recall was issued to ensure the safety of all users.

Customers who purchased these refurbished models have been advised to stop using their phones. A new battery will arrive in the mail soon from the FedEx supply chain, the old one will need to be sent back.
