Last year Galaxy The Note7 was literally a fiasco for Samsung. As the whole world knows very well by now, the company was forced to recall all parts of the phone from users due to faulty batteries. The company tried to accommodate owners of defective models as much as possible and offered them a lot of discounts on other models. Now, almost a year after the incident, he is continuing with the compensation. If a former Note7 owner shows up for a new one Galaxy Note8 interest, will automatically receive a discount on the new product.
Of course, the event does not apply to Czech customers, because last year's Note was not even sold in our country. No customers from Europe will get the promotion yet. Samsung has let it be known that customers from the United States will be entitled to the discount. The truth is that the USA had the largest number of defective models that exploded.
And how exactly is the action supposed to work? A customer who purchased in the USA last year Galaxy Note7, will get a discount of up to 8 dollars (approx. 425 CZK) on the new Note9. The amount of the discount should be based on the configuration of the model that the customer bought a year ago - the more expensive, the bigger the discount. The question remains how Samsung will verify that a particular customer has actually purchased a Note500. We should learn more information in the coming weeks.
