The Stylus S Pen has been an almost integral part of some Samsung products for a few years now. No wonder. Thanks to it, the controllability and overall use of the product will reach a completely different level. Samsung is aware of its usefulness and has been thinking about how to make it even better for some time. Now it seems she has found the right direction.

Already in 2014, Samsung applied for a patent that describes how to import a microphone and a speaker into its stylus, which would serve users well, for example, during various phone calls. After some time, the South Koreans went even further and patented the blood alcohol measurement function and digital signatures for their S Pen. The last two functions are more like plans for the future, but the built-in microphone seems to be real, at least according to Samsung representative Chai Won-Cheol. Some time ago, he let it be known that Samsung is intensively dealing with this issue and is considering whether it is even appropriate to integrate this technology into the S Pen.

However, if Samsung really decides to do this, we will probably see this innovation quite soon. The necessary technical requirements should probably already be thought out, and if this innovation is approved as beneficial, its development and production can begin. The most optimistic scenarios even assign the novelty to the Note 9 model, which will be released next year. It would certainly be interesting, there can be no dispute about that. But is she ready to call for help from the S Pen (not only through it, of course)? Hard to say.
