We have probably all seen this year's Note 8 and on exploding batteries u Galaxy We probably won't just forget the Note 7 either. But what were the phones from this series like before? Let's go through the entire history of this series together today!

Samsung Galaxy Note – A smart notepad

The first phone of this series had undeniably great equipment. It was launched in 2011 together with an unconventional stylus. The mobile offered a 5,3″ display along with Androidem 2.3. The rear camera provided a sufficient 8MPx.

Unfortunately, the smartphone also had some bugs. For example, it overheated easily when under heavy load and was very uncomfortable in the hand when talking on the phone. The battery offered a capacity of 2 mAh, but only lasted a day at most.

The stylus became very popular among users, because it was not only used to control the phone. For example, if we held the stylus on the screen and pressed the small recessed button at the same time, a screenshot of the screen was created and we could start editing or describing. We could then delete, save or share our work with friends. Thanks to the stylus, the Note got a completely different dimension.

Samsung Galaxy Note II - Evolution

After an eleven-month break, Samsung came Galaxy Note II. Like the previous model, it offered an 8-megapixel camera with autofocus and an LED flash. Compared to the first model, the Note II had very good battery life (3100 mAh) and did not overheat.

Unfortunately, Samsung failed to include a microUSB port in this model. If you charged the phone or wanted to connect it to the computer, the cable would slip out. At that time, the price of the phone was also relatively high, which for the 16GB variant was over CZK 15.

The phone very often had a delay of several seconds and sometimes did not respond at all. Also, the lower right Back button often stopped responding for a few seconds.

Galaxy Note 3 – Better and higher quality

After a year, he comes on the scene Galaxy Note III, which brought the worst equipment we could imagine in a phone in 2013. It had 3GB of RAM, a 13MP camera and a 5,7″ Full HD Super AMOLED display.

The back side was designed in a very design way to resemble leather. But what Samsung didn't realize was that the back of the phone was very slippery and so the phone didn't hold well. For the pop-up windows, Samsung chose an unnecessarily large font and, as with all previous phones, it was bad at pulling off the style.

The S-Pen received a large number of new functions. You could take 3D pictures through the phone using the built-in Sphere application and there was also a possible connection with the watch Galaxy Gear. Although the phone was a few thousand more expensive than the previous model, except for a few minor flaws, it was really a good companion.

Galaxy Note 3 Neo – Cheaper and weaker

It was a lightweight version of last year's model Galaxy Note 3, which bet on a lower price. In the end, the difference in the price of the phone was not that striking, but the price reduction had a significant effect on the smartphone.

On the front, there was a 5.5" super AMOLED display as standard, which had a resolution of only 1280x720pix, which was significantly less compared to the competition, and phones with such a large display offered a much better resolution.

The phone's internal memory was 16GB, 12GB available to users. Fortunately, you could expand your memory with a memory card. The reactions on the phone were also not the fastest, and in general it was clear that the performance of the phone was simply lacking. For a phone with a price tag of around CZK 12, we would probably imagine something else.

Galaxy Note 4 – smarter and more powerful

This phone provided truly uncompromising hardware and was one of the most powerful devices of 2014.

The phone offered a 5.7″ super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440 × 2560 pixels. 16 MPx camera and 32 GB memory. The processing of the phone was at a very good level and it was very pleasant to hold in the hand. Compared to the previous model, the phone grew by only 3mm, so with a bit of luck it could even fit into the Note 3 case.

The battery offered the phone approximately the same with 3220 mAh and lasted less than 3 days with active use. The integration of the Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 solution was excellent, thanks to which you could charge the phone from 0 to 50% in less than half an hour.

Galaxy Note Edge – The second Note 4

Probably the first thing that drew attention to this phone was the curved display on the back. The device was otherwise almost identical to a smartphone Galaxy Footnote 4.

The biggest highlight of the phone is the already mentioned curved side of the display, which offers a resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels. Thanks to the side panel, the phone is more elegant and optically enlarges the display. The phone fit comfortably in the hand thanks to the back cover, which, like the Note, imitated leather. There were backlit buttons on the sides that provided a vibration response.

We could find the same equipment as in the basic package Galaxy Note 4. But the purchase price of the phone was 5000 crowns higher, so it was up to you whether you wanted to pay extra for the side panel.

Galaxy Note 5 – It did not reach the European market

This phone never made it to the European market, so we didn't even have a chance to try it out. But we know from reviews from another corner of the world that the S-Pen finally got a new mechanism and was finally easy to pull out.

The phone was built on Androidon 5.1.1 Lollipop and the experience was very similar to the phone Galaxy S6, which was already available on the European market compared to this model.

Galaxy Note 7 – Note 6 did not appear

Now we come to the phone that many of you will probably never forget – Galaxy Note 7 - a phone that is known mainly for its catastrophic explosions. But many forget that it was the best phone ever.

The Note 7 was a beautiful, elegant phone and in terms of design there was nothing to fault. Its weight of 170g exactly corresponded to the size of the display, which retained super AMOLED. The screen was additionally protected by Gorilla Glass 5, so the phone should not break even when dropped from a greater height.

We still have the classic home button, which also hides a fingerprint reader. A new feature was the retina scanner, which was used for authorization. You can read more about this amazing phone at of this article.

Galaxy Note FE – for the Asian market

Before we dive into this year's new Note 8, here we have a phone that few people know by this name. It was introduced only for the Asian market and it is a refurbished Note 7 that no longer explodes. It was launched on the market on 7.7.2017/XNUMX/XNUMX
