Google recently finally officially released new Android 8.0 Oreo, but so far only for its Nexus and Pixel smartphones, which boast a clean system. However, Samsung and several other companies shortly after the release of the system they let it be heard, that their smartphones will be updated to Oreo later this year. What models they will be, however, is still unknown.

Only a handful of devices are likely to receive the update by the end of the year. However, more and more models should gradually follow during the following as Samsung engineers gradually work on developing firmware for specific models. But which specific phones and tablets from Samsung will they be? The South Koreans have not announced this yet. However, the list below should be fairly accurate, as it is based on years of observation of what models Samsung keeps up to date.
