Not long ago, we informed you that although Samsung is doing well worldwide, there are also countries where their smartphones and other products are almost unnoticed. This would probably not matter in itself, if it were not a country with one of the largest economies in the world. We are, of course, talking about China and its people's dislike for Samsung smartphones.

Does the label "dislike" seem too strong? I don't think so. The South Korean company has been in a solid depression for some time in China, and instead of approaching a turning point that would catapult sales to higher levels again, more analyzes are coming with negative results. For example, the latest statistics published by the Korea Herald website clearly indicate that Samsung has slipped again in the last quarter to sixth place.

Why is that, you ask? The explanation is quite simple. Chinese customers are far more likely to prefer a local brand that offers great performance at a low price. In short, the top flagships of local and other companies simply do not pull that well. According to statistics, their total market share is only 6,4%.

We will see how Samsung manages to react to the new facts. However, it is already clear that it will not make a dent in the Chinese market with its flagships, which are often quite expensive. It will probably have to start selling cheap and powerful smartphones designed specifically for the Chinese market. Otherwise, the door to this lucrative area could be closed for good.
