Samsung to a foreign server AndroidPIT confirmed that it is finally preparing an update to the newer Tizen 3 for its Gear S3 classic and Gear S3.0 frontier smartwatches. The update should bring the older watch models to the same level as the recently introduced ones Gear Sport, at least as far as the software side is concerned.

Unfortunately, it seems that the Gear Fit 2 bracelet does not meet the same fate, because unlike its successor Geat Fit2 Pro, which was revealed a week ago, is not waterproof, so the swimming functions from Tizen 3.0 are literally useless for it and thus the whole update loses its meaning.
However, informace it has not yet been announced when exactly the new update for the Gear S3 classic and Gear S3 frontier will be released. AndroidPIT however, they expect this could happen before the Gear Sport launches, which is at the end of October. However, others do not share the same optimism and rather expect the update to arrive a little later.
