You all already know that Samsung is the largest manufacturer of OLED displays. However, the South Korean giant definitely does not want to rest on its laurels in this regard and is planning large investments that should improve its OLED panels by many levels in the future and thus strengthen its position.

The latest news states that Samsung has decided to invest 25 million Euros in the German company Cynora. It is a supplier of the main components for OLED displays. Now it is even successfully developing a material that would significantly improve the quality of OLED displays in terms of display resolution. The icing on the cake would be a big reduction in energy, which also goes hand in hand with this new product.

"This investment confirms that our materials for OLED displays are very attractive," confirmed the quality of the new material, the director of Cynora.

LG is also interested

However, since OLED technology is really popular in the world, it is clear that other smaller suppliers will also want to fight for Cyrona's materials. It is not surprising that LG, which should supply OLED panels for iPhones in the future, resorted to a similar investment. However, Samsung will probably try to cheat him, because the money from iPhone displays is a really important budget item for him.

We will see in which direction the entire OLED display market will go. However, increasing the quality of displays will definitely be an important step that catapults the company that can do it first to the top of the supplier ranks.
