The Active line of phones from Samsung is popular with its users mainly due to its resistance to damage in combination with quality hardware and a pleasing design. Latest Galaxy However, the S8 Active cannot boast of such great durability. Shortly after the start of sales in the USA, its users are complaining about the unpleasantness of its display.

It is the phone display that is one of the most prone to damage. Of course, Samsung is very well aware of this fact, and that's why it made the "active" phone out of the most durable material possible. He succeeded in that and it is really very difficult to break, but another problem arises - scratches. According to users of the S8 Active, these are formed incredibly quickly on the display, even in trouser pockets.

Samsung already has experience with a similar problem

The reason is probably quite simple. The material from which the display is made is softer than the classic glass panels used in standard phones. This ensures that the display does not shatter, but it increases its chances of being scratched by tens of percent. However, Samsung was already convinced of this in the past. Similar problems already appeared with the previous generation, which also suffered greatly from scratched displays.

It is interesting that we can find a similar problem with competing companies. For example, Motorola even had to decide to launch a program with its Moto Z2 Force due to its non-resistant display, which allows consumers to replace worn displays for $30. Thanks to this step, she regained the trust of customers. It is therefore possible that after this year's scratch embarrassment, Samsung will also resort to a similar program and please its customers with a discount on display replacement. Otherwise, he could set himself up for solid problems in the future. No customer would voluntarily buy a phone with a display that gets scratched immediately.
