This year's models from Samsung are really amazing, but some users are upset about the placement of the fingerprint sensor. This is because, as is traditionally the case, it is placed on the back and forces its users to slightly uncomfortable handling. However, until now, it has been claimed that there is no technology that can integrate the fingerprint sensor into the front panel so that it works reliably. But that should change next year.

Integration into the display is a hugely hot topic. This year, for example, Apple engineers tried it, hoping to introduce it to their iPhone X. However, they failed and had to settle for using Face ID, which completely replaced Touch ID. Samsung was also trying to integrate, which, by the way, was also confirmed by the company's Czech representative office, and for a while it seemed that it was on a very good path. However, according to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, whose predictions are among the most accurate, the integration under the display has not yet rung.

Galaxy Note 9 pioneer?

Kuo thinks that the first phone with a fingerprint sensor under the display will be the future Samsung Galaxy Note 9. Of course, this would be great news for Samsung. With such an act, he would surpass all his competitors, including Apple, and add to his account a very important first. However, he could claim this already this year at the presentation of the Note 8 model. Similar technology was expected for it as well. However, as I wrote above, the efforts ultimately failed. But that won't happen with the Note 9, according to Kuo. In fact, according to him, a selection process is already underway, from which the supplier of the necessary parts for the sensor will be selected. Allegedly, three companies have applied for it and have already sent their samples to South Korea.

You wonder why Samsung would implement such a thing "up" to the Note 9 when the main attraction of 2018 will be the S9? Most likely simply because he is pressed for time and will not have time to adjust the reader to perfection for the S9 model. On the one hand, of course, it will be a huge shame, but on the other hand, at least it will capture all the details of the original Note 9 and insert a reader that has already been tuned and without the slightest problems into the annual S10 model.

Of course, there is also the possibility that Kuo is wrong and we won't see the reader in the display for some Friday. Since Kuo is almost never wrong in his predictions about Apple, I'd bet on him even now.
