Samsung has made Valve's Steam Link available on all of its 2016 and 2017 smart TV models, including this year's QLED TV lineup. Samsung is the first TV manufacturer to allow this application to be transferred to the screens of its smart TVs.

Instead of having to connect a Steam Link hardware device to TVs, the new technology allows you to stream your favorite games directly from your home PC to Samsung Smart TVs after downloading an app from the Smart Hub platform.

Previously only available in the US market in free beta, Steam Link is now available in a total of 55 countries including the US, UK and Korea. For 2017 TV models, this app supports full 4K streaming and allows Samsung Smart TV users to enjoy thousands of PC games on big TV screens.

"The response to Steam Link has been incredible, so we're excited to offer it to our customers around the world,” stated Heeman Lee, Vice President of Visual Display Division of Samsung Electronics, adding: “We are extremely pleased that with the ability to use a large screen with realistic picture quality, our smart TVs help to take the user experience of playing PC games to a new level."

Optimal parameters for playing games are also offered by the Samsung QLED model series for 2017. These TVs boast extremely low power consumption and low display latency, as well as excellent image quality thanks to Quantum Dot technology. Samsung QLED TVs are also highly durable, they do not suffer from problems with afterglow or image burn-in, even during longer gaming sessions.
