Imagine that you are sitting calmly on the plane and slowly heading towards your destination. However, suddenly a flight attendant appears in the aisle, pushing a cart in front of her. It wouldn't be so unusual if the cart wasn't crammed full of new Samsung phablets Galaxy Note8 and the flight attendant didn't start giving them out of the blue. This is exactly what happened a few days ago on board a Spanish plane.

The Spanish branch of Samsung decided to organize a rather interesting promotional event a few days ago. It has agreed with its partner, the airline Iberia, that its passengers will receive a gift for the advertising that Iberia does for the new Note8. The South Korean giant therefore chose one of the random domestic flights and gifted all 200 passengers with a new Note 8.

Note phones are allowed on airplanes again

However, the friendly step towards the airline and its passengers has another and deeper meaning for Samsung. Last year's Note7 models were not allowed on board planes due to exploding batteries. The South Korean giant is thus trying to show with this promotional event that the Note8 is an imaginary light at the end of the tunnel and there is no need to worry about using it practically anywhere.

However, if you start flying from now on with the hope that similar luck will smile on you, we have to disappoint you. According to available information, it was only a local campaign and Samsung is not planning to expand it to other countries in the coming weeks. On the other hand, by revealing it, he would spoil a wonderful surprise.
