Although Samsung is doing extremely well financially and recently revealed that it has once again broken its previous record with its quarterly sales, in some markets it would most likely imagine the results to be much better.

The latest report from the analytical company Strategy Analytics suggests that the South Korean giant's smartphone shipments in the third quarter of 2017 in the US fell slightly, making it easier for rival Apple to take the lead.

According to the company's analysis, smartphone shipments decreased slightly by less than two percent compared to the previous quarter. Even so, Apple managed to maintain a very solid market share of 30,4%. The second Samsung then conquered the American market by 25,1%.

Samsung is largely behind Apple's success

However, we can't seem to be surprised by Apple's success. Even the people around Tim Cook recorded really record profits and surprised many analysts with 46,7 million iPhones sold worldwide in the last quarter. But according to the most optimistic estimates, Apple's earnings this quarter are just a springboard for next quarter. This will be fully reflected in the sales of the premium iPhone X, thanks to which approximately 84 billion dollars should flow into Apple's coffers. However, Samsung, which produces OLED displays for Apple's new flagships, which are described by many as perfect, will also have solid profits from them.

So let's be surprised how the companies will fare in the coming months in terms of smartphone sales and whether Samsung will be able to increase phone sales again. However, if he wants to keep his profits high, he will probably try to do it by all available means.
