Press Release: Synology announced the official release of Active Backup for G Suite/Office 365, an enterprise solution for affordable backup of data stored on G Suite/Office 365 cloud services. - Local and affordable backup: With a single one-time investment, businesses can back up data stored in G Suite and Office 365 drives to local Synology NAS devices, effortlessly taking ownership and ensuring employee data protection.
- Automatic detection and backup of new accounts: Newly created accounts will be automatically detected and added to the backup – this minimizes management costs and the possibility of an employee's data not being backed up.
- Flexible RPO with continuous and scheduled backups: Multiple backup policies offer the flexibility required to meet a wide range of RPOs. For example, continuous backup allows you to reduce the risk of data loss, and scheduled backup allows businesses to set schedules according to their needs.
- Self-service recovery portal: A convenient self-service recovery portal allows employees to recover their data using an intuitive interface, without the help of IT administrators, which not only increases efficiency, but also reduces the burden on IT team members.
- Backup and storage efficiency: Single-instance backup ensures data transfer and storage efficiency by transferring and storing only files with unique content. Block-level deduplication across versions helps businesses retain the most data using the least amount of storage space by storing only those blocks of a file that have changed from the previous version.
