This fact was also confirmed today by the leaked photos.
In the leaked photos of the back of the phone, which you can see below this paragraph, it is clearly visible that the cutout is only for the classic camera. At first glance, it is quite large, but the South Korean giant has to fit a fingerprint reader into it in addition to the camera, which requires quite a lot of space. There will be no room for the second lens in the cut-out.
It's hard to say why Samsung decided to deprive its smaller and more compact version of the new flagship without a dual camera. In theory, this could be a kind of savings that will make the phone more affordable for regular customers, since its price will not skyrocket due to the dual camera. However, it is also possible that Samsung wants to focus more on phones with a larger display in the coming years, and this is the first step to force a significant portion of its flagship users to do so.
