A few days ago, we informed you that in the long-awaited update of the operating system for Tizen 3.0 watches, in addition to a few improvements, there was also a bug that shortened the endurance of many users of their Gear S3 watches by several hours. However, according to the latest information, it seems that Samsung has already started to solve the problem.

After Samsung's internet forums were flooded with hundreds of posts from unhappy watch users, the South Korean giant pulled the faulty version of the update and stopped distributing it to users. But he resumed distribution in some countries a few days ago. However, the version that users can download is now bug-free and will bring battery life back to normal.

According to users in Canada who were the first to download the update, the battery issue has indeed been resolved with the upgrade and the battery life is noticeably better after at least the first hours of testing. But we will have 100% certainty only after a few days, because it is still too early to draw conclusions. However, if the update really proves to fix the battery issue, it's not very likely that Samsung will slowly roll it out to the rest of the world.

Hopefully we will see an update in our meadows and groves as soon as possible and return the life of our watches to normal. The inconvenience caused by the lower endurance was considerable for many users and limited them to a large extent when using the watch.
