If you've been following South Korea's Samsung for a long time, you've surely noticed that its share of the smartphone market has been increasing year by year. This is mainly due to the wide portfolio of its products, from which almost everyone can choose, and also the price, which is very favorable for many models. According to the analysis company Strategy Analytics, this trend will soon fall and the South Korean giant will face a gradual fall.

Experts from Strategy Analytics are convinced that the market share will drop from the current 20,5% to "only" 19,2%, mainly because customers are increasingly finding their way to competitor Apple. But the Apple company isn't the only thing Samsung should be worried about. Even the smaller Chinese smartphone manufacturers, who are able to produce great smartphones at a fraction of the price, will cut a significant part of Samsung's share. After all, this is exactly what the world's leading analysts are warning Samsung against. “While smartphones with an operating system iOS they have no competitors in a certain respect, phones with Androidem are in a completely different situation. Samsung will thus have to prepare for the rise of smaller Chinese manufacturers, who are starting to slowly prepare to produce premium phones comparable to its flagships." said an analyst based at Seoul National University.

Samsung has never experienced a similar situation

Samsung will thus experience a situation that has only occurred once in its long smartphone production history. The year of crisis, when Samsung's share jumped slightly, was 2016 and the affair with exploding Galaxy Note 7. The South Korean giant had to stop production because of this and focus all its efforts on solving this complication.

So we will see how Samsung copes with the decline in smartphone market share. Given that we have already seen a few changes in its management this year, which should provide it with greater agility in responding to changes in demand and overall more flexible functioning, however, no drama can be expected. He will 100% retain the first place on the market some Friday and it will be up to him whether he will comfortably control it with his products or catapult himself back to goals unattainable for others with some clever trick.
