Although Samsung is primarily a leading manufacturer of telephones, televisions and other consumer electronics, far more interesting projects are created in its workshops. According to the latest information, Samsung has even managed to create a special smart jersey for Dutch speed skaters, which should help improve the quality of their training.
Dutch Samsung has been sponsoring two of the country's best speed skaters, Sjinkie Knegt and Suzanne Schulting, who will appear at the Olympics in Pyeongchang in a few months. And in order for his charges to be as successful as possible in races, he created a special smart suit for them in cooperation with their coach. It contains a wide range of different sensors, thanks to which the coach has everything important in his phone informace about their competitors. According to them, he then adjusts the training regime and advises them on what to improve so that their performance is as high as possible.

A big advantage of this jersey is that it is able to convey some of the coach's instructions to the athletes even during long distance rides. If, for example, the coach does not like the way the competitors pass the flats or the beginnings, he very simply warns them with vibrations on the wrist. Thanks to this, training can go much more smoothly.
Although the use of similar technology is quite unique in the world and we don't see it very often, it can be a real benefit for athletes. So let's be surprised if similar gadgets will become more widespread in the future and take the training of athletes to a higher level.
