Are you one of those people who for some reason calculates the nutritional value of every meal? Then the following lines will probably please you very much. At CES 2018, which is taking place these days in Las Vegas, Samsung showed how great its smart assistant Bixby can be even in these tasks.

Using Bixby to count calories in food is very simple. All you have to do is activate it and, through Bixby Vision, "show" it what you have on your plate through your camera. Bixby then analyzes all the contents of the plate and uses its artificial intelligence to calculate how many calories your plate contains. In addition to analyzing your plate using Bixby to get an idea of how many calories you roughly eat, thanks to the synchronization of data to the Samsung Health service, you will also get an overview of how many calories you are taking in in the long term and thanks to this you can adjust your diet.

We'll have to wait a little longer for the sharp version

The novelty is still in the testing phase and we do not yet know when Samsung will release it to the world. However, it is certainly very interesting and beneficial for many users. Although we have to take informace obtained through this analysis with a certain reserve because each dish is prepared a little differently and therefore has different caloric values, it is definitely enough for a rough estimate in situations where there is no time to solve any exact calculations. And who knows, maybe Samsung will manage to achieve near perfection over time. Only time will tell.
