Although the South Korean Samsung and the Californian Apple appearing as irreconcilable rivals, in reality they would hardly exist without each other. It is no secret that Samsung is pro Apple an extremely important supplier of components for his iPhones, which he will of course get paid appropriately by the apple company. As a result, Samsung benefits practically from any sales success or failure of its competitor. In case of success, he too will earn thanks to his displays, in case of failure, he will sell more of his smartphones. And exactly this rule was confirmed this autumn as well.

The apple company usually holds its famous conferences at the beginning of September, and then launches sales of its new products in the second half of this month. This year, however, it wasn't quite like that. Although most of the products appeared on store shelves just before the end of September, the most anticipated one was still in production. It was the problematic production of the new iPhone X that caused considerable wrinkles on Apple's forehead and delayed the start of its sales until the beginning of November. However, the long delay since the introduction had its own effect on the sales of iPhones in the world.

Samsung is the obvious choice for many

Many customers did not want to wait two whole months for a new phone and therefore started looking for an adequate replacement. And guess which models caught the eye of these customers the most. If you guessed that Galaxy S8 and Note8, you hit the spot. The South Korean giant saw an increase in sales of its flagships just in the months before the start of sales of the iPhone X. For example, in Great Britain, its share increased for almost three months of waiting for iPhone X by almost an incredible 7,1%. After the start of sales, although the share fell from a great 37% to 5%, Samsung still performed very well in this country and its sales confirmed the fears of many analysts that Apple will pay extra for late iPhone X sales.

However, as I stated in the opening paragraph, Samsung doesn't really care, with a bit of exaggeration, if its competitor does well or not. The flow of money from him is really great and he allegedly took more for the displays and other components for the iPhone X than for the sales of all his models Galaxy S8. One way or another, however, it remains the ruler of the world smartphone market.
